    New Tige Covers

Is anyone else here unhappy with the '07+ tige covers? They are thinner and the first day we had wind, mine got a rip in it about 1.5 feet long. At first i thought it was nice becasue it didn't weigh so much, but then it ripped within a week of having it

Where/how did it rip? Mine has withstood 85mph winds (towing ) with and pooling rain water with no sign of failing.

I have the 07 sharkskin cover, is that what you are referring to? I think it's the greatest thing ever.

yeah i'm talking about the ones starting in 07. I think it is really nice and lightweight, but it ripped in the back. the rip is at the seam in the back where the strap holds the back down. I'll take a pic tonight when i go home. I just called my dealer and they are going to warranty it.

Does the support pole in the main cabin seem to be too tall, and stretching the cover when ratcheted down?

My 06 has the same cover, less the collars around the tower, and the pole was too tall and made it hard to fit.

I don't use the poles since it sits in a covered hoist and doesn't collect water on it.

I have the ratched travel cover. I really like it...although i would never travel with it on.

My only beef is that i wish the cover had a piece that would cover the transom. My cover does not cover up the transom area; it only covers the lip of the deck and the platform. Even though my boat stays on a lift in a 28ft covered slip, the transom is still exposed to sunlight/wind/very minimal rain, etc. My transom is black.

I don't have the full cover but just a cockpit and bow cover similar to what I used on my old boat. They are well made covers and handle trailing really well. Their one downside is where they wrap around the tower post there is a 3/4 inch gap all around which will allow water in when traveling. it comes with a single vented pole for the bow area and 2 vented poles for the cockpit. I only recommend this cover for users who store their boats in a garage when not in use because they do not wrap over the deck to the boat sides allowing for fading and oxidation from sun.

I also land up driving with traffic sometimes at 80+.
