That's true of bias ply tires, but should not be an issue with radial tires.

That is what I was told happened to mine 3 times so I can only go by that experience,

Once you have a flat spot it will have a tendency to blow out at high speed trailering while the pavement is scorching.
I also have October thru April down time. I wonder if there are any good ways to get the wheels off the ground.

BTW: I have an Extreme trailer with 4 Carlisle's

I know many people have already said that they dont like carlisle tires but my unlce has a 2005 lund 1950 tyee and he blew out all four carlisle tires on his way to canada, he took my advice and put on marathons and has not had a problem. All my trailers came with them and i always take them off and put on white letter ones.

I have had the opposite experience. I have had Carlisle tires on my Extreme trailer since original. 1997. I had my first flat tire last season. It was the fifth year on the second set. I am now on my third set.

I thought Carlisle is owned by Goodyear?

To get the tires off the ground, in the off season, just jack up the axles and place jack stands under them.

              That's a great suggestion!

I just replaced my Carlisles (due to a blow out) with GY Marathons.
I paid $72 each at Evans Tire! Looks like a much better tire!

I like my Goodyear's. I am now on the 4th year. I will be replacing them after this year for sure. I won't go into a fifth year with tire on a trailer. I think you are just asking for it if you do regardless the brand.

I am currently in Havasu and ordered a Goodyear Marathon as one of mine is in the early to mid stages of separating. Discount Tire (same as America's Tire in Cal) here in Havasu does not stock Carlise.

I believe Carlise was purchsed by Goodyear around 5 years ago as I had 4 biased tires that came with my Extreme Trailer separate/fail and Goodyear warrantied them (Carlise's) replacing them with the Goodyear Marathons.

Trailmaster or Towmaster (I forget the name) is made by Greenball and is highly regarded by many of the tire guys I have spoken to. The speed rating on the Greenball Trailmaster/Towmaster is 65MPH as oppose to 55MPH of most trailer tires such as Goodyear for what that's worth.

Returning to your question, not sure who carries Calise in Havasu however I believe Discount Tire can get them upon request.

you can get the transmasters americas tire. very nice tread pattern . did not know they had a 65mph rating as opposed to othrs with a 55mph rating. that is a big plus and is excellent reason to get them.
