Bubbles in gelcoat is generally a manufacturing defect. Sometimes the manufacturers get inferior materials from their suppliers or try new materials and get burned. Hopefully Tige will stand behind their product.

As for the trailer, if it's never been in salt water, it should definitely not look like that.

Lucky when they took my boat of trailer at dealer there was little bumps like air pocket in gelcoat probably the size of oval dimes if you took a marker and outlined the bunk and took boat off that is exactly where they are probably 30-40 directly where bunk was not a good thing as far as trailer rusted at all welded joints, fender, diamond plate stand area in front and behind fender. see link to photos i posted earlier in this discussion. my boat has seen rain maybe 5-6 times and that was on the way home other than that from the day it was new it has been stored inside if yous is doing the same post photos or send them tome i would love them for ammo.

They just told me that they would be willing to fix the trailer, however they want to fix it at their plant in OK, i am in MN, little out of the way and would cost as much in diesel to get it there and back as it would to trade trailers. I am still working on them and hope i can get something reasonable out of them.

OK, I'm relieved, as what I have are definately not blisters, and my rust is not near the stage as yours. I'll take some pics of the trailer when I get a chance.

I got an estimate on fixing my trailer from the shop next to mine and it came in at 1500, sent that to dorsey and they emailed me back saying the owner is gone for "few" weeks and they will get back to me when he returns, not the response i wanted but hopefully we are going in the right direction, they havent said no.

Totally understandable with that response. There are a lot of companies that woh't do anything until the owner agrees with the deal.
