Where is a good place to Board from so cal

I am looking for a good spot to go wakeboarding, that is with in reason from southern california. can anyone help?

There are lots of place in SoCal. Where do you live?

I am down south in OC. The two that I would consider are Lake San Vicente near Poway (San Diego) and Lake Elsinore.

I agree with Jeffe. So. Cal is big, so help us narrow it down a little.

Some other places are Mission Bay in SD by Sea World, Carlbad Lagoon in Carlsbad & Marine Stadium in Long Beach if you dont mind salt water.

We also go winching all over the place.

San Vicente is OK, but it gets crowded real quick and good water is hard to find. I live 15 minutes away and I almost never go for that very reason. Plenty of ocean/bay water, but if you're like me salt water is big no-no! For me it's all about the river, but you can't exactly take a day trip to Arizona.

Lake Elsinore is all right as long as you can stay away from the weekends, water gets rough from the jet skis.

The water used to be so nasty at Elsinore. Remember when all the fish died and the banks were filled with dead fish.

I am glad they cleaned it up...too bad they cant get rid of that nasty green water color as you can see in the pic below:
