Wakeboard Mounting Bracket

I have an 04 22V with the factory tower. I also have the factory wakeboard rack that screws into the matching bracket welded on the horizontal member of the tower frame just above the windshield. I have noticed that bracket has started to bend outward along the weld. I usually carry two boards on the rack as designed. The bend as resulted in the powder coating cracking and peeling off in this area.

I am curious if anyone else with the factory tower has noticed if their bracket has started to bend along the weld, and if so, what if anything they have done about it.

I'd take the rack's back to the dealer and ask them to get you the Wake Design's rack's that mount on the vertical bar.
