    Bilge pump not working

My bilge stopped working. How hard is it to replace it?How much for a new one? How do those reset buttons work on the dash?I pulled the rear drain plug and drove up a hill and nothing came out. Then later on,I opened the motor box and it had a bunch of water down in the bilge area. Thanks

Better check it out and make sure you have no water coming out of a blue drain plug or a loose hose somewhere. Dont know where the pump is in that boat, but you can find new ones all over on the internet for 50 bucks or so. Once you find it, make sure the hose is not broken and just recirculating the water in the bilge area. They can get brittle and break, mice can chew holes, etc.

How are those pumps held down? The pump looks hard wired,I can't see a disconnect. Has anyone else had a problem with this?

The pump should clip into the base. You can take it out to check the impeller on the pump. Yes, it is hard wired. Easy to wire in the new one though. If it is not spinning at all, mine has an inline fuse on the power wire. Might look for that.

You can get a new automatic bilge pump at any local or online marine store. They're under $50. Just splice into the existing wires (do this above where you think water will be). 500 GPH should be sufficient.
