Thanks, I am so glad myTige dealer disclosed that. I would have gone fiberglass if I had known. less work. I will have to research Iroko Wood to look at it's properties.

How long has Tige beeen doing this?

    Thanks again.

Tige sells is as "TEAK" but is Iroko Wood not even in the teak family.

Wood of the iroko tree (Chlorophora excelsa), native to the west coast of Africa. It is sometimes called African, or Nigerian, teak, but the iroko is unrelated to the teak family. The wood is tough, dense, and very durable. It is often used in cabinetmaking and paneling as a substitute for teak, which it resembles both in colour (light brown to deep golden-brown) and in grain.
      Thank you Mr. Wizard

So it would be a reasonable assumption that the 07' also are Iroko Wood and not Teak!

Has anybody gotten Tige to replace the fake Teak Oversized Swim Platform with fiberglass?

I had better be carefull again I might revert into a WakeHavasue clone

You can try but I think there is the fine print that you didn't read before you bought the boat. The fine print was the info about the "teak".

Don't pull a Wake on us... We might have to send you away again!!!! j/k

From my dealer. Tige had no idea that it wasn't real teak, because the mfg sold it as "teak". And the company that made the platforms is no longer in biz.

The company making my new platform, to replace my defective one, is based out of Lebanon, TN. They are the same company that make the Mastercraft platforms. It will be real teak.

                    Mine is warping.

You mean you didn't see it. Just of been "FINE" print. j/k

I don't know where it is located in the documentation and I am sure some salesman can tell you where it is located.

I am glad I got the fiberglass option.

I just wrote to my dealer and I will see what the head of service has to say and I guess go from there. The literature and care info says teak with no limitations and you don't get fine print until after sale.

Lucky 275 when did they quit using fake teak.

I think you still have the fake wood.

Tige just started back with the real teak swimsteps. They discontinued the "teak" when that co went out of biz. But all boats that were on the lot still had the fake teak.
