I will give it to Bu, they are stepping up to the plate and taking responsibility for this. Unlike Tige and the defective 2006 Wake Design towers. Tige: "Lets wait until they break off and hit someone in the head before we do something."
After 17 years in the auto biz dealing with recall after recall, i'll say that no one is "stepping up" as a Recall is forced by the DOT (or some other Fed agency) to be fixed.
Oh, broken board rack wont cause anyone to crash into a dock

Yup, you are right but could cause damage to a boat or even death if those racks flew off with a wakeboard in them and hit someone in the head.
I assume this is the weld problem on the 06 towers specifically the swivel racks. Did Tige honor it on warranty or are there a bunch of 2006 Tige's out there just waiting to crunch someone?
If I remember correctly this was addressed in the 07 Model year.
It was a bolt issue. The bolt was too small and would cause the arms to strip out and eventually fall off. Tige did honor the warranty but they NEVER notified anyone of the issue. This leaves a VERY SOUR TASTE when it comes to recalls and what Tige SHOULD have done.
The late 2006 models where fixed to resolve this issue.
Maybe tige will see this and do a recall on all fake teak swimsteps.
By the way mine is cracking and and separating again

The teak platform is not made from real teak but a plant that is similar. We have bounded that subject matter over and over and over again but Tige continues to use the fake teak stuff. Hope they went to the real stuff this year but I doubt it.
Have they ever fixed an issue raised on TigeOwners?
YES

So my platform is also not real teak. Oh how so lovely. Now I don't want to go negative now.......

Tige sells is as "TEAK" but is Iroko Wood not even in the teak family.
Wood of the iroko tree (Chlorophora excelsa), native to the west coast of Africa. It is sometimes called African, or Nigerian, teak, but the iroko is unrelated to the teak family. The wood is tough, dense, and very durable. It is often used in cabinetmaking and paneling as a substitute for teak, which it resembles both in colour (light brown to deep golden-brown) and in grain.
