I was loading up after a week at the lake on Saturday. Chose to remove my teak platform for the 3 hour trip home (mostly to keep myself under the 70' tow limit), when I noticed several small chips in the gel coat. There is about 6-8 on each side near the mounting brackets. When we got home I looked at it a little closer and noticed that the platform actually touches the back of the boat in two spots. My boat only has 16 hours on it!
My question is: Is there any reason that I cannot remove the mounting brackets and slide the platform back a little and remount. How much gap should there be? how much is to much? Also, what do I need to do to the chips in the gel?
I'll try and get some pictures tonight.
