if your sitting still wouldnt the fill pump still let water in?? idk the setup may be different on Tiges. My boat doesnt have factory ballast in it so im kinda iffy on stuff.

When we first discovered the water, i didn't know what was causing it. We bee-lined it back to the lift and got it up. That was the first place we checked and it was obvious that it was the culprit. While we were out and immediately prior to moving back toward the lift, i turned off all ballast pumps as a precaution...not sure if it mattered.

I've had two of the ballast fill pumps break exactly like yours did, and two empty pumps also break in the same place. I guess mayfair or mayweather...whoever makes the pumps, had redesigned the pump case and it is stouter now. The new pumps my dealer put in, under warranty, have a slightly different barbed end on them, has a reinforcing collar at the base of the barbs.

Yeah checked that. The inline fuse is good. There is power getting to the amp just nothing coming out of it. It is a Clarion and they are junk. I am just going to get a kicker and be done with it. I am wondering if the boat was so wet that the humidity in the cabinet fried it. The amp had allot of dew on it.

Thats most likely the case of what killed it. Why Kicker? Go Fosgate!!!

Fosgate not bad, but kicker has way better control, better freq and signal and put out more power with less draw. IMO they make the best bass for the buck.

BTW, even though I have automatic ballast, I still carry around manual pumps for the exact same issue that JeffT encountered...what if my ballast pumps suddenly broke and I had water in my boat

Dont you guys have a ball valve to stop any incomming water? Mine has a valve I can shut if there is an issue.
