I can tell you from experience that the earlier you get them involved, the better they will like it when they are older. I used to take my oldest son to the lake and on the boat when my wife was pregnant with our youngest. He was only about 1 1/2 years old at the time, but loved swimming with his lifejacket, climbing up on the swim platform and jumping back into the lake. He did this for hours.
Now I will say, it was nice having a cuddy cabin on my boat at the time because it extended our lake trips on many occasions because the kids could take a nap while we either cruised around the lake or floated. Find a way to get your toddler into a shady spot on your boat and your days will be longer, too. BTW, I saw some nifty umbrella shade devices specifically designed for the bow of a boat. Might want to look into those

Great pics G! Thanks for sharing. It's been along time since my kids were that young. It is worth all the effort to take them and introduce them to boating. The Life vest was always the worst part when they were were infants.
