    Cant decide

I need help in deciding which tower speaker configuration to go with.

    my options are

    #1 pro 80s and pro 60s
    #2 pro 80s and mb8s

they will be running off a kicker zx850.4

    any suggestions would be appreciated.

    thanks

If you are going to need to raise and lower your tower a lot I would go with the lightest speaker combination because the net weight of 4 speakers will get heavy after a while. On my home lakes The tower is up and down a minimum of 8 times a day and after a while it is a great workout. IMHO unless you need tons of volume I would go with the 60's and the MB8's

I run the 80's and 60's and can raise/lower the tower by myself no problem. Lowering is cake, raising it takes a little oomph.

I run the 80s and 60s with that amp and love it. Music is very clear and loud. I forget what i am doing back there and start playing the air guitar!

What tower do you have? If it is a Sampson]?
The Tige E-Series is a PITA. I can deal with it but later on in boats lifetime my wife when out alone will never manage the E-Series tower by herself with just a pair of Pro-60's

I have not worked with a Sampson Tower but I think ragboy just changed out his E-Series Tige to a Sampson so he would be a good one to ask to see how easy it goes up with a full complement of speakers.

His tower has at least two sets of speakers so he would be a good source of info. Good luck in your decision. I was just out with mine with single Pro-60's cranked and I cannot take any more volume but heck I am getting to be a geezer My wife was 1/4 mile away up on shore and heard my 60's cranked wheni was leaving our cove

At 29 your still going to hungry or more volume
IMO I would get the 850.4 and wire the tower for two sets and put up the Pro80's up initially. If that does what you want your set. If not you an add the Pro60's or the MB8's. Your choice. Eithr way is a great way to go.

Noticed your from Langley, ( another Redline customer)

Valley Toys ( Local wetsound dealer) is having a demo day on Cultus in a few weeks.

So far there is 4 boats planned, all 4 will run separate and linked via the WS 420 EQ.

                  In attendance

                  Z1 with a WS Threesome
                  RZ2 with 2x WS 485's
RZ2 with the WS Double Up
                  XSTAR with PRO 80's

There will be a pontoon boat, with reps from WS, Hperlite/Ronix and just talked to Jon, so Tige as well....

                  Should be a good time!

PM me if you have any questions or if I can help you with any WS questions locally.

Send both options to me and I'll let you know

If you get the Pro 80s, you probably won't need the M8s to go with the Pro 60s.

I don't think you can go wrong either way.
