Dropped my boat in for the first time this season.. and the digital speedo on my perfect pass was all over the place - way too high and too low as well. It kept jumping around from zero to 50 mph! any ideas?

Make sure the paddlewheel is clean and spins freely. Sometimes guck can get caught up in the spindle it rides on. -

Paddle wheel issues is usally the cause for this. Our friend bought a 24V last year and the first time to the lake they had the same problem acted just like you discribed. The paddle wheel was stiff to turn. Definately check out the paddle wheel. Make sure it spins freely and there is no damage to any of the fins.
If thats not the case then you sampling rate is WAY outa wack. But I think the paddle wheel is the cause for your problem.Common Sense is not so Common
