Ali and I wheeled out the boat from enclosed storage at the Rio.
Our Tige' 22i barely fits in the enclosed unit and it used to be some work backing it in and out with the tower, racks and all.
Someone on the forums recomended the trailer tug.
We ordered one.
Geeze does that ever make the job better.
So later we're packing the boat for a day of wakeboarding and Ali looks up and a pretty, tan 16 year old, in a bikini was standing there looking at us.
A smokin' hot, head turning little knockout.
She ask'd if she could come along?
Totally blindsided Alice, but Ali said, "sure, can you wakeboard?'.
"No but I'd like to learn" the 16 year old said..
Ali said "No problem, I think we have a board that'll fit you just fine."
The girl then said she had to go get her vest and would be right back.
A few minutes pass and she appears with maybe her grandmother who checks us all out: "Oh I've seen you guys", turns and walks away.
Evidently the 16 year old had been stuck with her no boat, boring old fossils for the past week, and we looked like a fun day away. What the hey, go ask if she could join us and she did.
So we pack up and launch the boat and some of the kids wakeboard.
We then ask the 16 year old if she'd like to try and she jumped at the chance.
I got her dialed in and ready and after maybe 3 failed pulls,, I gave her a bit more instruction, and hit the throttle a bit harder for the fourth attempt.
She pop'd right up, and made it from Buckskin F/S stations to the Roadrunner.
Not bad first time up.
Then we pulled her one more time, she got right up, and she was teriffic for a beginner.
We all then floated and swam and Alice chatted with her and she turned out to be not only pretty, but very smart, and fun to have along.
I got movies of the kids wakeboarding, but our Apple Mac just sux with movies. I'll straighten that out at home with Windows.
So we then head to the Bluewater for dinner.
Alice mentioned service at the Bluewater has gone from very bad to non-existant.
Getting seated mean't paging the manager, who finally made an appearance and started kicking some employees in the *** to get back working.
Shame also, one of the (formerly) good things about the Bluewater Buffet was the excellent self-serve drinks machine area: Milks, juices, sodas, teas, coffee, it was a really nice set up.
Of course,, that's all gone now and they now count on the crappy servers to get you your drinks.
The kids all headed to the Prime Rib and it was surprisingly good. We got our moneys worth. Kids can really eat after a day on the water.
An hour at the arcade while Ali hit the Safeway (she loves the Parker Safeway) and we called it a day.
The 16 year old asked if we'd post her wakeboarding video on You Tube so she could show her friends. We gave her our You Tube address and she thank'd us and left.
A sweet as sugar, appreciative, kind and considerate, Alice mentioned someone is doing an awesome job raising her.
