We are heading up camping again this year like we did last year. Will try and grab more pictures and document like you did. Awesome job....
I am not sure I am a great dad, but I do hope that the good memories can drown out the times that I am less than patient, or don't teach them in the best fashion. That is what it is all about, trying to keep the balance of emotions all on the positive side. It seems that once your kids turn on you, they don't come back until they are out of the house, or later.

He didn't even have fangs! You can tell at the very bottom of the picture that I am holding the cut end of the beast, he was not doing any kissing at that time.

I don't know about this trip though I see a Malibu 247 in the back ground. Your not trading on us are you Tall. J/K of course.

It looks like you had a great trip. That is the type of trip your kids will remember for the rest of there life. I remember my trips to Powell when I was a kid. Of course then the water was much higher than it is now.

Those are really fun, but they hurt when you have 4 or 5 on it and everyone fall on top of each other. I guess you go a little slower than we usually go on those.

We usually limit it to just 3 or 4 people because of that exact reason. If I plan on pulling teenage boys, I just allow 3 and that minimizes the likelihood of landing on each other. I have gotten pretty good at driving the thing as well. I get the most satisfaction from hitting the double ups at speeds around 20 MPH or less, and it seems people don't get hurt as much with that.

Any retard can just whip it around at 30 MPH+ and make people fall off. I have the most fun when they really bounce around and don't quite fall off. My passengers seem to like it best when they don't feel the danger as much too.

what kind of snake, I'm assuming rattler.

On second thought, after looking at the picture again, don't see fangs. was it poisonous?

Doesn't look like any type of pit viper at all, so its not any kind of rattler. Looks like it may be a bull snake. If so I would have welcomed it to our camp site.

My friend has the 247 you see there. He bought it online from Wisconsin sight unseen for 60K. It is an 07 that arrived with 14 hours on the meter. The first owner bought it and his family did not want to wakeboard, so he sold it after one year of practically no use. It has the Hammerhead 383 in it. 4 ballast tanks. They told him it had dual batteries and an extended bimini, but it did not. It has the passenger bucket seat (vomit) instead of the wrap around. No board racks, so boards are laying everywhere. No tower speakers. I think it still is a good deal relative to what the new ones cost for sure. It has the power wedge and that is indeed a neat little gimick. Everything seems to be in pretty much mint condition.

I am not becoming tallmalibuguy any time soon, but would not rule it out when I get serious about a new boat.

My friend called Boats of Nevada and a new RZ2 was going to be more than that, so he walked. I thought that if he ordered it from the factory, the dealer would basically have a guaranteed sale, and might have been able to come down in price. Maybe it was just not right to try and negotiate over the phone without showing a face.

His reasoning was that he could not find one single negative comment about the 247 online and it fit his large family and group of friends.

                            rambling over...

It definitely was not a rattler, just some kind of cockroach eater. I wanted to keep him around, as I said above, but the womenfolk were a bit stressed. I was then hoping to BBQ him as well, but got shot down on that one too.

Should have told the women to "man up" and let the snake eat the varmits that would be entering the houseboat otherwise.
