New to the Site & Looking to Buy

Just wanted to introduce my to the site.

Test drove a Tige at the end of the year last year and loved it. Looking at buying one in the near future, but I wanted to learn more about them before the purchase; hence joining the site.

Look forward to learning from you guys/gals.

Welcome to the site. You will find a lot of people on here that have a lot of knowledge about their Tige's and what is involved with them. Every where from stereo installations to engine related troubleshooting. However, the engines on the newer models seem to be doing very well. It's the older ones that are breaking down. j/k

As Tanner suggested, we both have boats for sale. The 24Ve in my case.

That would be a long drive, esp at todays gas prices.

I'm targeting a new (2008 or 2009) 22ve. Any recommendation on which of the engine choices to go with?

Sure, you could mount a huge solar canopy to the tower to charge the battery bank

The 340 HP but the 2009 are having PCM motors put instead of the Marine Power that the current models have.

For the 08, the Marine Power 340hp is the perfect choice. For 09, it will be a PCM, something around the same hp range.

If you hurry there are a few MP's available that you can maybe get in a 09' ... At least we're gonna try that on my new one we're ordering next week.

Stupid question, but what is the difference between PCM and marine power?

Not alot. They all use the same GM block, but the PCM will probably have Catalytic Converters.

I guess I'd wait to hear what is announced for the 09s and decide to see if there is anything announced that you want, otherwise pick up a leftover 07 or 08 that are still out there.
