Who was out on Utah Lake on Tuesday, June 10?

I saw this video clip on the news last night, it pertains to rescues performed on Utah lake during high winds. It shows a boat that had to be rescued, that boat being a Tige. So I was wondering which one of you guys up north will confess to having to be rescued from the lake during the high winds.

When I lived up there, I loved the days that the wind would blow like that, I would be out there on my Sea Doo, jumping and surfing those waves. Probably a stupid thing to do, but it was so much fun. Those were before the wakesurfing days and that was the only way that I could get my surfing "fix", being a transplanted Californian.

That would suck... I always check the weather conditions before I head out. We are very predictable when it comes to weather.

Is that lake filled with chocolate milk or what? Man, I remember living in socal and going to lake buena vista in bakersfield a lot, it was like that. A big mud hole. Bummer.

I was actually watching on the lake cam (http://www.livelakeview.com/lakes/utahlake/provo.html) while they filming the news yesterday and I notice a Black and White Tige docked close to where they were filming.

The boat was docked without anyone around. I thought it was weird to leave the boat out there in such bad weather.

They said that all were rescued and they were okay with hypothermia

The lake is very shallow at deepest it is maybe 15' so when the wind blows you get huge swells and lots of mud. Hence the nickname Mud Lake.

It usually claims one aor two a year and always some needs rescuing out there. There was also some teenage boys on jetskis that they were looking for yesterday.

Oh ya the local airport is right on the shores and every so often someone comes up short of the runway and takes a drink.

All ended well as far as no loss of life.

Utah Lake; with a "face" only a mother could love. Meaning a lot of people stay away from it for that very reason, but for those that boat there, they love it (most of the time).
