Green Gasoline

Colorado State University, my alma mater, has a medium scale testing lab for producing algae fuels. I know of 4 people that continually run algae gasoline in their cars. (All of which were made in the 80's).
I read a couple of the Engineering newsletters that stated that on a large scale this fuel could be produced to be sold around $2 a gallon.

There would have to be a very, very large output of "green gas" to make an impact. The oil companies would have to be involved too because they have the infrastructure in place to make any sort of alternative fuel viable.

This is going to have to be a collaboration of innovation, American desire, and Big Oil..............any part of that pie fails and we will still be sucking oil for the next 50 years.

I agree. Big Oil is never going to cooperate with this. I think it is going to take a Bill Gates or Warren Buffet to say "F*** these greedy oil bastards, I'm gona spend my life's weath to develop green gas, and sink those oil f'ers!". Gates has always said that his kids won't be inhereiting any of his weath. If he wants to change the world... THIS IS IT!!
