I had to go out and buy a new truck to tow my new boat

Picked up a new RZ4 from TIGE WATERSPORTS last weekend

1800lbs ballast (600lb on each side and 600lb front)
Dbot5 Tower Speakers
Sub
Alpine Dual Amps
Dual Batteries
Alpine Head Unit w/ Ipod Interface
Heater
Table
Speedset
Every option with the exception of the shower & the flush kit.

The wake is massive & super wide. A huge difference than what I was used to & I was riding at a much faster speed. Took a lot of time & patience to dial the wake in. Dont have a lot of patience & I was getting sooooo pissed. I still have a lot of dialing in to do. It was like I was starting to wakeboard & wakeskate all over again.

Cant wait to meet up with COACH and the other Colorado River locals in a few weeks.

Now that is a nice setup also. I am jealous and need a new rig now.

What tower and speaker system do you have on that?

The tower is a custom tower that the local dealership does OEM. I liked its clean lines and liked how it could be powder coated vs the Z series.

That boat is amazing, i wish i could afford an RZ or even a Z1, but i think it is going to be a while, the house needs a little attention.

Thanks, your new set up is SICK as well. The wifey and I just bought a new house & the backyard is still dirt.

I honestly have no idea how I was able to talk her into getting a new boat before the backyard is done.

You have one better than me, i have a 2200 sq ft house on 7/10s acre on the lake, the crappy part is its an earth home and i want to add anothe level, what used to be in the 2 year plan some how got put to the 5-10 year plan, but i guess i would get more enjoyment out of the boat then a house, by the way, weeds will still grow, you dont need grass do you?

We are in a cul de sac with a 1/2 acre. We paid a gardener $1,000 to rototill everything, install sprinklers and seed the area. We are slowly watching patches of grass grow slow (real slowly)

Our original plan was going to be pool, bbq, firepit, concrete, artificial grass, etc for the backyard this year and the new boat next year. Somehow it got changed...Im not complaining!

I threw many a temper tantrums trying to dial the wake in over the weekend. Its a big boat with a lot to offer & once you get it dialed it is absolutely amazing.

I just finished installing about 2100 lbs of ballast on my RZ2 and I am still trying to find the best setup. The weather has not helped on that area.

For wakeskating...Its just a monster. I normally ride at 21mph with a 65' rope and go W2W no problem. I was riding at like 23-24mph with a 55 foot rope, taps at 3 and getting bucked.

For wakeboarding I was riding at 26-27mph rope at 70' taps at 5 or 6 and it was like learning all over again.

Either the speedos in my old boat were way off or you have to ride that fast for a decent wake.

After owning a Tige for many years, this changes depending on who's with me, where they are seated, the speed at which you're riding and your rope length. I just learn to adjust the TAPS so that the lip just begins to wash out behind where the rider will cross the wake. That usually provides the best ramp. So, you'll need to play with it each time, but you'll get the hang of it.

My reward for all this tuning experience is a son who complains when he has to ride in competitions behind other boats.

So, moral of the story is, no matter how deftly you hone this skill, there will always be whining...your only hope is that the whiners are not related to you
