Where do you get new bottom material? Or the next size thicker.

Standing or pressure does it. I can see why because there isn't any support under the larger spans.

This seems to have happened to everyone in the front, where the span is like 18 inches length wise and like 8 inches wide, if that is to big of span for the material to hold up then we have some serious problems.

The one that Matt and I are talking about is greater than a 20 inch span on the RZ2.

The board that broke on the @4Ve was stood on directly and broke.

IMO, they are not ment to be stood on directly but haven't had an issue since but you could be right.

I can't believe the seats break that easy. There goes a few votes for fit and finish Even with all the price drops this just should not happen.

Water and 200 lbs of pressure over time will break almost anything. These seats were built to sit in but not stand on.

I agree with you that the seats are not built to be standing on it. At the same time, good engineering should take in consideration that someone might stand on it and build a little safety tolerance there.

In my opinion , the material used on those seats are not strong enough. There are too many cases of the same issue.

Hmm, mine have never had a problem with that and people stand on them all the time.

Perhaps the 1999 used a different material on it.

Well on my 01 21V I have a little seat behind the drivers side some one left a couple bottle in the cup holders and tried to open the seat fully (its on hinges) and ripped the screws out of the bottom of the seat and cracked. I went to parts store and got a two part epoxy from marine environment. I mixed it up filled in the old screw holes with epoxy and the crack and it is as good as new.

I had 2 seats break shortly after I purchased my '06 last year. The dealer took care of it with no qualms.

This is my 4th boat(different brands) and the first to have this issue with seats. We are extra careful with our Tige seats now. My buddy had his rear hatch replaced by Tige when one of his passengers stepped through it.

I think Tige needs to use heavier backing material on their seat backs, and hatch covers, personally....

I have to agree the fit and finish of the boat is a little to be desired. I just spent three weeks cleaning up the wiring and getting it to a standard that I would consider exceptable and safe. I am surprised it past USCG regulations with the way things were wired up.

Go look at the Malibu's and Master Crafts. They do not have more than TIGE' but the fit and finish is much nicer. I do like how they put a shower port in on the Master Craft. It has a Quick connector on the outside back corner of the the Transom and the power switch is on the dash for the driver to control. This way you are not fighting the storage compartment and all the item in it to get the shower out for use. It is those little things such as this that add up and make a difference.

They don't offer that on the "salt water series" Atleast on the tige the "shower" switch on went to a wirer that went to the starboard aft storage compartment.
