    wakesurf rope

What length are you setting your rope at when pulling from the tower?

      I have one of these

      http://www.waterskis.com/Accurate-Wa...urf%20line.htm

Just hook up to tower and hand to rider, its the right length. If I had an extra one, I would have put in the box. Usually about 20' from tower to end.

        what a blast!!

Hannah is 9 and is very excited about her picture being posted online.....I'm going to try to get her video up as well. The board was great.....it's amazing how changing the speed on the boat by .2 made such a difference in finding the sweet spot. Ragboy, who's next in line? I'll start packaging the goods up to send on, and would love some advice on which board we should purchase now. Thanks again

Man, that is soooo cool. To clean up that wake, you need to list the boat over to the side of the wake, a lot more. It will get rid of the white wash. Especially on the reg/port side.

Video and more pics would be great.

          The next in line is:
          stoddardk
          Waterski-Rebel
          Dan and Christy

PM first and give him a day or so to report back. Let me know who its going to. I feel bad that I forgot about a rope, so I will send a rope for whoever you send it to, I will send the rope direct to them, and they can keep it with the package. Sorry I didn't remember that before you.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated on set up. I was playing with speed and tapps both and think that I got fairly close on speed which was 10.2 mph. I had the bag placed beside the engine and not completely full, but close. The picture of my wife and my daughter are with the ballast bag and 2adults in the boat. The picture of me is with my wife and her friend in the boat and no ballast (didn't move it because I am goofy footed and no one else was). To me the wake looks cleaner with no ballast than what it did with my wife and daughter, but I was playing with speed to, and that may be why. Thank you for taking your time to do this for us and the next one in line. We all had a blast. I think we will be investing in a board and some ballast in the near future.

I saw the vid, looks great. The great thing about the landlock, is that it is VERY forgiving. You don't need a big wake, or a perfect wake to do it. But looking at your picture of the boat, you def need to list the boat over more to get the wake cleaner, and easier to surf, if you want to progress. One way to start, is when you are surfing on drivers side, put everything heavy you can think of on that side, and have your wife or daughter even sit on the gunwale if you feel safe.

On the passenger/port side, it is even harder. You are fighting against the rotation of the prop and the weight of the driver. Teach the lightest (while safe) person to drive, and again, sit on the gunwale if you can. The farther OUT you move the weight, the more effective it is in listing the boat over.

If you cannot get enough weight over, try surfing while turning just a bit to the side you are surfing on, this will also list over and clean the wake, but you don't want to turn too much, and you need more room to do this, since you have to make a big circle.

Here are a couple of pictures I have, of the master at work. This is the one and only SURFDAD towing at an INT event, and you can see the list in the boat.

How fast were you going in that video? Seems a tad too fast.

Sorry we were out of town for a few days and haven't had a chance to send it out. I will send it out tomorrow. Sorry for the delays. Thanks again.

That is awesome! My wife was anti-surf until last week when see actually saw some folks doing it. Now she wants to try it! I was holding off since the 20V is not a surf machine from what I've heard, especially since I have no ballast at all. I was also not excited about spending the money after Wet Sounds got such a large chunk of my play money. Your offer sounds like a great opportunity to give it a shot and see what it's about.
How do we get in line or sign up?
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?
