I wonder how that affects the stock ballast pickup for the rear transom hole ? Also has anyone noticed a difference in the wakeboarding wake with 2000 lbs + in their boat?

Not at all since there's no obstruction to water flow.

I think our max ballast is about 1500 lbs. + people. It does make a difference. My son said it was better than some of the X-Stars he's ridden behind.

I agree, there doesn't seem to be any obstruction from what I see from the pictures. Are you thinking about doing it Matt???? Making that step????
