    wakeboard boots positions

I just started wakeboarding late last year. I got a CWB pure w/ vapor hinge boots for Christmas and finally was able to get out this year and try it out. I am having a hard time getting comfortable w/ the position of my feet on the board. I think I have 3 positions from the inside of the board to the edges. I am in the middle screw holes. The boots are set on a slight angle w/ my toes facing out. I feel like my knees are in a bind when I am riding and I am having a hard time going out wide. I can get about 1/2 the rope length out of the wake then my knees start hurting. Any suggestions? I can take some pictures of the board tonight if that will help.

    Thanks

The best recommendation I got so far is to get up on a chair or something about the same height and jump off of it to the ground in front of you so that you don't take a step. Take note of the angle of your feet and the distance they are apart and then adjust your boots accordingly.

stand with your legs about shoulder width apart, gently bounce up and down on your toes until you feel that when you stop, your feet are at a comfortable position when you bend your knees. Then apply this width to your board, then duck it slightly, then check to make sure it is comfortable. hope this helps

        Hey dog,

Chptril helped me dial in the boat for wakesurfing this wkend. I thought it put up a really good wake. I will have to check my pictures tonight and see how they came out and post some. My boat is the same hull as yours I think.
I will try what your guys are saying also. That makes sense.

Yeah, we got ours dialed in pretty well this past weekend. I've got some pics as well and will post later tonite. My problem is that I have a wide variety of people in the boat so it's always different. My new ballast system is really helping though. I think it's because I have a bigger V-Drive sack in the rear corner than I had before.

Do you have to fill and unfill your manually?

No, I put in an automatic system w/ JABSCO Ballast Puppies. I have the Fly High V-Drive sacks. They say they're 400 lbs, but I think they're actually heavier. Then we had 2 adults on the one side along with a 150 moveable sack that I never empty and a cooler. The adults probably averaged about 200 lbs. We found the ideal speed to be about 9.3 for the Hyperlite Broadcast. It's interesting, for bigger riders you may want to try going slower. The pocket is not as long, but there's more power behind the surf wake so it's easier to ride.

Here is the picture of my binding and board. Hope you can tell from the pictures. I can move them out one more screw hole. I did try the jump test and when I landed my feet were just a little wider then where my binding are now. The duck part didn't seem to be any different, but this is the part that seems to be bothering my knees.

So if I understand right I should move the binding out to the last hole? I put this other picture in just so you can see I don't know what I am doing here, but it was fun anyway. This was my last run and I just wanted to see if I could get some air.

Maybe move the bindings back to center your foot on the board.

Are you talking about the heelside and toeside parts. Make sure I am centered?

Those bindings should have two degree numbers. One on the inside of the foot and one on the outside of the foot. They should be on the same number on the inside and outside of the foot.
