I think she put single-woman-out-alone fear ahead of the immediate situation she faced. She'd have had real problems as we were the only power boat out there that day and she was in a steep and wooded part of the lake.

    I was proud of my boy when he took the initiative to dive in and swim the line to her and threaded it through the bow of her canoe so it'd tow straight. You gotta love a Life Scout who's headed for Eagle.
    weel that depends on how hot she was he might of had other ideas running through is head. oh know i didnt just say that!

      My old Moomba had to be towed many times, before I fixed the problem.

      They put the gas overflow switch on the side of the boat & it would always take in water when the boat was weighted & especially while wakesurfing. I finally relocated it to the rear of the boat where the gas tank opening is and added a inline fuel/water separator.

              How true!!!

              I am a Cub Scout Den Leader - son is a Wolf and going strong. I don't acknowledge Akela's OK until the boy's prove capability. So many parents just want the the boys to badge...

              Good on your kid!

              Was she hot?

                Chevelle is playing this weekend in Chico. Was thinking of going to see them, but only like a few of their songs.

                  A Scout is:

                  * Obedient,
                  * Cheerful,
                  * Thrifty,

                  * Clean,
                  * and Reverent

                  Not just good words but a life focus for scouts and non-scouts alike. A troop or pack that emphasizes these concepts is a good one. How have you lived the Scout Law today?

                  Sorry for going off topic, but on the other hand, helping another boater can prevent an embarrassing situation from turning dangerous.

                      You know this story reminds me of when we were on a friends boat about 7 or 8 years ago. Mid week trip end of day and his transmission went out the lake was empty and one boat in the area. We flagged them down they came over and we asked for a tow. They looked at us like we were degenerates. They informed us that their boat was an $80K boat and they couldnt risk pulling us in and we should look for another boat to tow us in.

                      Not that the owners are all alike but his one happend to be a MasterCraft. I remember years later when I was in the market for a boat I asked the dealer if it would hurt my boat to tow people in. He informed me it is not a problem. I would never drive past a boat in need or tell them it might hurt my boat. We just pulled a 50 ft log out of our cove in Beaver Lake this weekend. Just doesnt seem right to just hope someone else helps out.

                          On my honor,
                          I will do my duty,
                          to God and my Country,
                          to help other people at all times,
                          to keep myself physically,
                          mentally awake & morally straight.

                          Its been 15 years & I think I still remember it

                                I've seen them in concert and there great. You'd probably be suprised how much of there music you would like...great boarding tunes.
                                Although the crowd is a little bit "different" than most of us on this board..haha
