I am just curious if any of you have had the 20 hr service performed on your boat? The reason that I ask is that I seem to keep getting different info. on what the dealers will actually do. I am just wondering if this was a waist of my money. I am mechanically inclined anyway and I really have a problem with anyone working on any of my vehicles. You just never know if they actually did what they tell you they will do or not and I really don't trust anyone but myself when it comes to maintenance. I hated taking my boat to the dealer yesterday and seeing it sitting there on in their yard made me sick. I really just want some reassurance these guys are professionals and will do a great job with my boat. It is our prize possesion and I don't want a half a$$ job with whatever they do. Thanks.

You should never feel like you are describing when dropping your boat off. Ask questions! Ask what they are going to do, how long it will take them and let them know what your expectations are if you don't feel comfortable. The only emotion that I get when dropping my boat off is sadness that I am not taking it out, I have 100% confidence in my dealer and they take care of me!
I think a 20 hour is an oil change and overall check of the boat to make sure everything is kosher.

I feel that the 20 hr service is the most important.
By this time the boat has almost broken in, and the dealer will check all the alignments and linkages. During my service, they replaced the steering cable, as the dealer was not happy with the way it felt.
I have since done all the rest of the services myself. And I never regret not doing the first one.
Tige, it's a way of life!

If you're lucky enough to live on the lake, you're lucky enough.
