    Need opinion today

Just saw a postin for a slingshot recoil 142 with driver boots. I read some reviews on the net that say they are both good products. I am 6 feet and 230lbs so I think I should be on a longer board as I am on a 138 right now. Does anyone know anything about these boards and boots. Any info would be good. I have only been boarding for a couple of years but do ok.They are selling them as a set for 357 including shipping..Thanks in advance. Bibbs

I rode this board last weekend, and liked it a lot... if they had size 13 boots for that deal, I'd purchase.

No secrets I just did not have a ton of time to type everything down-at work and busy for a change. Thanks for the feedback. I take 11 size shoe so the boot size 11 should be good. Bibbs

it seamed like it landed a lot softer than a traditional board... if you landed in the flats (or more likely in my case coming up short). From what they say (and appear) the things are bullet proof compared to traditional boards.

IMO, & I will probably get slammed by everyone on here for this, just be careful when switching to the full on, stiff, snowboard boot type of binding. If you're just a weekend warrior, you wanna be able to come out of your bindings when you wipeout. My buddy, who is an ortho surgeon & semi-pro wakeboarder, says he sees more knees ripped up and spiral fractures of the lower leg now than ever before, due to the increasing stiffness and tightness of the new bindings. In his opinion the average wakeboarder does not need to be strapped in like the new binding do. These new snowboard type bindings do give you a much better stance and comfort level while riding, but the rsults of a nasty spill can be much worse, then if you were just ejected on impact. Food for thought.
