    BINGO!
plus near the storage at the passenger side. its pulling away from the gray wrap around

also everyone with the center bow cusion, take a look and you will see it rubs the corners near the walkthrough, so now it looks worn.

Does someone have pics of what we are talking about here?

I would like to know where the Tige engineers have gone. I fell in love with Tige in 2001 after seeing that a genius at Tige designed the TAPS and convex hull. It seems that we now have less intelligent people designing a few parts of the boat...not to hijack the thread, but things like the bimini on new boats won't fit 8 inch speakers, the batteries that take up all the storage space in the port storage locker, the way the swimstep cuts into the wake at surfing speeds...I will be test driving an RZ2 or RZ4 on July 24, they will have to convince me that I should dump thousands for a new boat because it is better. Sorry, rant over. I didn't get enough sleep last night.

its a bit hard for them to foresee every problem- there will always be issues with new designs. Still, its a bit disconcerting that they reverted back to the same design that caused problems in '03-'04. I was looking at the same spot as above and indicated that if I opt for an Rz2 over the 22ve that I'd require that seam (amongst others) be double stitched. They said that could probably be arranged.

By double-stitching, I mean that they should overlap the seam enough to where theres an additional stitching on each side of the main seam, and both "extra" stitches should go through both layers of fabric. Possibly even have an additional strip of vinyl added below and included in the stitch. This would allow for a reinforced seam, dispersing the stress over a wider area. In addition to the added strength, this would allow more "give" for more flexibility... wherein part of the additional strength lies.

There... now is everyone thoroughly confused?

Oh yeah- To you guys at Tigé, I'm available for "beta testing"

          warrenty

I believe Tige's warrenty is 5 years on Vinyl.

its three years on vinyl. One year on stitching.

As for the swim platform, they just need an adjustable one, preferrably adjustable by the driver (kinda like my TAPS plate). I know they have gone with the oversized platforms to accommodate the wider wakeboards, but now that wakesurfing is taking off, it seems like we need a smaller one that doesn't get in the way.

Alternatively, how about one that has a hinge on it that allows it to fold in half?

                  half?

What about a 6" section on each side..........

honestly, I really dont have the same problem on my 22v's swim platform. When I have the boat weighted, the curve of the platform exactly follows the inside line of where the water curves inward, from the hull.

Thats with 540lbs in the front, plus 350 on each side in the rear, and TAPS all the way down. The boat basically rolls over to the left side.

I am not sure if its the platform or not. I can dial a good surf wave on the port side with no washy lip. The starboard side is the side that is tricky for me, maybe its because of the prop wash or the speed but it takes more work than the port side to get a clean wave. I can get rid of the lip on the starboard side if I speed it up a bit but I loose my deep pocket. However I tend to wakeboard more than I surf so I havent spend much time trying to dial it in.

We never had a problem, but after they replaced our "TEAK" swim-step (because it warped after 8 months) it now hits the water when we surf and it's not as long as the old one.

Just think you could extend the swim-step alot wider past the boat when you're just hanging out or putting on your board, then a flip of a switch flip in come the sides and go.

Either that or have the entire platform go up and down, kinda like they have on the motor of those bay boats for fishing

Am I the only one who has trouble dialing in the PORT side wake for wakesurfing? I can get the starboard side to curl beautifully, but the port side takes more work for me. I like it b/c I ride goofy but I swear the starboard side is way better than the port side..
