Thanks for the support guys, I am bummed out for sure I also feel for Maximus2003 as it was the maiden voyage for him and his new Tige and he had the same exact problem......... really weird!
anyways here is a few pics not sure if anyone can see anything, I have a looked a hundred times....
One note- On the stock locking pin, there is some damage on on end of it, or is that normal when the prop tightens down on the shaft taper, is that the result? from some reason the new one in my weekend kit is shorter in length any ideas about that?
Sorry I got to this thread late. I would say change the prop and go to the lake. I think you will find it is the prop. You can do all the measurements you want and if you go to the wrong prop guy he will even tell you the prop is okay. If you bent it in the hub area which is likely the prop can not be repaired and you will not notice or measure the bend unless you have the special equipment for it. From what I understand there is only five guys in the Nation that have the correct equipment to repair ACME props.
www.automarinecare.com CWB, ACME, FlyHigh, Merc Marine, PCM, Marine-power, WETSOUNDS, HSE Volume Controls, Kicker, Sony, Samson Sports, and many other marine parts or accessory's.
ACME will charge you $250 to repair your prop and they can repair just about anything... at least I've seen them repair some really BADDDD stuff. Sometimes I wonder if they don't just send you a new prop and say they repaired it. HAHA.
Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.
I can generally get them fixed for $165 + freight charges.

Sounds like ya'll hit a submerged log, dang what's the odds of both of ya doing it 5 mins apart.
I would give all the running gear a god close inspection, replace the prop, and go for a short ride and see what it feels like.

Maybe a piece of wood was caught in the prop. and when you docked it could have fallen out.
Try using a fakealake and start your boat. Put it into gear. I'm sure you will be able to see or feel if the prop is out of line.
I had a piece of wood caught in my prop, but when I hit it I shutdown and stopped immediately. I jumped in the water and sure enough I had a piece stuck in there. Pulled it out and everything was fine. Gave me a good scare though.

And that is a great deal.
Just wondering how much damage that prop has to be in. I had a tear in one of my blades and I was charge $160. I have another prop that had damage on all the blades. SPBFan, is that $165 to fix all the issues or just a simple issue with a blade?

I had the wrong guys fix my prop and it still vibrated a small amount.
it seemed that they only charged me $125 though.
I called Acme and it seemed it was not that expensive, things must be going up in price.
@ Canuck - We were at Aulolette it was a great day until the hit, 45 minute wait to get in and out of the water as you can imagine with the weather we had. We went to Cultus on Friday and it was pretty quiet. It is a beautiful lake with deep water
@SPBFAN- If it the prop I will send this one to you to be fixed. Can you also PM we with a price on a new 537 ( not the weekend kit, just the prop)
I still don't think it was a log, I wish I had gone back to look... the hit was so small I did not feel it at all on the hull, just when the prop hit it. I wonder if what happened was what Tige blue had.
I am going to try to make it out to a lake today to do some testing, I will try the spare 1st and then the damaged one to see if that was it.
For short term testing, is it okay to not use the cotter pin and just the lock nut? that way I can change them in the parking lot.
Also any idea about the two different size locking pieces in my photo?
My vibration starts only when I get to about 25mph, so I'm assuming it means I just did LESS damage than KS did to his. Stupid sticks! What a way to end a great day on a maiden voyage! Like KS I cannot see any visibe damage at all.
