      Nice looking boat!

What options do you have it on your new RZ?

            NOPE!

I called Friday and asked to talk to Taylor. He assured me that I would have it next week. But, I am still very mad about it.

I wanted to take it out this weekend.

                Well, what's not!

It has being on the shop more than I used it. 3 months on the shop and 2 months of usage.

The gel coat had some spider web cracks, the snaps for the cover were coming out with pieces of gel coat on it, the electrical has something shorting where my battery was completely dead, the upholstery had some showroom tear, etc....

Tige has being execelent in paying for the issues, but it is taking it forever.

Well, we have the 340 HP motor, Speedset, dual batteries, freshwater strainer, the docking lights (had to have them with the pickle fork), underwater transom light, the "power premium" audio option with a couple remotes & ipod interface and a bimini top.

Really the only thing I am second guessing is that we didn't go with factory ballast...figured I would add sacs later and get more storage when not in use, plus it would give me the option of more weight than factory. In hindsight I might have gone for the factory ballast so it was plummed even if I did something with more sacs in the future.

I think doing the ballast yourself you will be better off, more weight and the flexibility to remove the bags if you need more storage.

I started my ballast install about a month ago but have not finished it yet due to warranty issues that kept the boat in the shop since then.

If you are interested in installing a ballast, check out some of the thread of ballast installs. Here is my install thread (Click Here)

Thanks for the link - I also found the link discussing custom bag sizes for the RZ. If you don't mind, what measurements did you end up getting from Fly High on each side and how long did it take Fly High to get them to you?

I am thinking of getting my sacs right away and perhaps filling them manually for a while, plumbing them in later in the fall or winter. It is finally getting nice and I hate to have down time with the boat, but want to play with surfing some...

Plus I am really nervous about drilling thru the hull myself, so I may have my dealer do that part and then I will take the rest of the install (but even more down time taking the boat in...)

I did a 64" X 21" X 12" sacks, and they took only a couple of weeks to get it to me. It was about $270 each bag.

I was nervous about the drilling too, but SPBFAN helped on that area. What I am mostly scared now, is the fact that I know how thin my hull is, only 1/4" thick. But drilling is actually pretty easy.

If you are thinking about installing a ballast system send SPBFAN a PM. He got most of my parts for a great deal!
