Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein
Moki.... Which Eclipse's do you have?... the XA's????
If so, how's the midbass with that amp? When I demo'd them, the midbass seemed to fall a bit short. Something I think the Class D amps run into when trying to run full range. But the one I got to listen to, I didn't get to adjust anything myself. So it could have been the set-up.
I have the XA4000 driving the towers and the XA5000 driving the boat speakers and sub. I am usually pretty picky on my sound and I don't notice any lack of mid-range. I do love how cool the amps remain with the Icechip and how little power they draw compared to traditional amps.

There is no XA5000 on the website, is that a discontinued model? Or do they only show the new models when you click on the amplifier link?
Yeah, I got the XA5000 before the internal boat speaker for Wetsounds came out. Even at 50 Watts they sound very clean and clear. How much power are you looking for?
I am just trying to do my part by reducing unnecessary emissions to run my stereo
I have been shopping Amps all day today in between work. I just can not find an amp that has the power I need. I need to check out the ARC's I guess. I took the boat to a stereo shop in town that carries every amp I can think of and he and I both were just baffled at how much power the WetSounds take and the quality of the speakers. I guess that ARC's might be the way to go. Unless WetSounds comes up with a good amp real soon. I really don't care to make the wet sounds sound crappy. That will just not work when trying to demo the product.

SPBFan, ARC Audio amp are exactly what Tigeblue and I are running in our boats. IMO, get the KS300.2 KAR amps. If you run them bridged, they are 700 RMS Watts of power and very clean and they are not warm to the touch after playing them at full power for long periods of time. Now, tigeblue is running the SE amps from ARC.
There is no distributor in the USA for these. The WetSounds boat is running these amps now and they sound unreal. Serious. He needs to add a sticker to the back of his boat that says GAME OVER. He runs on batteries only and is not connected to the Alternator at all. He can run six hours cranking his system before he has to charge his battery bank back up.

The Wetsounds are supposed to go with 100 Watts RMS from what I understand. I currently have 75 Watts from a cheap Boss amp, and I am unsure if that makes them sing properly. If I could just install 3 or 4 amps at a time and test them it would be cool.

I am contacting ARC and HERTZ Tall you know what that means.

I am running 6 of the WetSounds cabin speakers and they can take all the power I can give them.
OK guys I talked with Hertz they also are the manufacture of Audison amplifiers. From what they told me they are an even better amp for Marine applications. I am working on setting up a dealership with them here in Bakersfield since know one carries there amps or products here. I will let you know how it goes and if I can start to carry there products. I have heard and seen the Hertz and they are amazing. The little processor window that tells you what is going on with the amp is a cool feature as well.
