How do you launch with the kid? My neighbor's kid is ready for this kind of ride...

Just have them stand on your board with your arms around theirs and hang on. I have done it twice now and the kids love it.

If they are short/small enough they can wrap their arms around your legs and hold on. Works well unless you really struggle to get up.
