I agree. To far to drag the extra tonage. We dump if we are going across the lake for lunch - less than a mile.

Decided to put ckeck valves on the vents. This allowed a vaccuum to be pulled on the sacs with virtually no water left in them. Worked great. Project complete. Very Happy Andrew, thanks.
This is a fairly simple project as long as you enjoy drilling holes in your boat, breathing fiberglass dust, and working in some tight places. The results are worth it all. The system drains and fills quick and provides a wake that will please almost all boarders and surfers.

Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein

I am just thrilled it worked out. Now when I come to AZ I will have to go surfing with you guys. I can't board when on the road. Ballast update-
Don't know how I boarded and surfed without it.
Here are a couple of pictures of the surf wake.
And here is what we did for the surf rack.
Some of the sac fittings leaked so I used some of the 3M sealant that was used on the thru hull fitting and the leaks stopped. I also had to order another box of the 1" hose because the clear poly hose kinked on the vent lines.
As far as the check valves, both the spring checks and the swing checks work equally as good as one another.
Thanks again Andrew. TD
