TigeDuner's Ballast Install

I used all 1" bilge hose. After the pump is a T fitting that feeds the top of the sac for filling and the bottom of the sac for draining. Each line to the sac has a check valve between the T and the sac. I may need to put a check valve in the vent line to pull a vaccuum on the sac, but I don't think it will be necessary since I am draining out of the bottom of the sac.
The main pick up is not directly in line with the perfect pass. It is close to or where Rival installs their pick up.

When I did my Rival install, I nearly did the same thing, but moved it over to the other side after discovering that my paddle wheel was on the starboard side. They told me that Tige AZ puts the paddle wheel on the port side. At least for me, putting it where Rival usually puts the through hull seemed like a bad idea.Be excellent to one another.

It should add about 1,300+ lbs. and the cost is yet to be finalized. Doing it yourself cuts a normally installed system in about half I would guess.
I used up my 50 foot roll of 1" bilge hose so I need to get more as well as hose clamps. Looks like this system will use almost 50 #12 ss hose clamps.

I hope it does not give you any trouble with maintaining consistent speed.
I have to admit it was a concern when we did the install.Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein
