    voiding warranty???

Just wondering..I have not done the maintenance on boat yet.. Im a bit too far from nearest dealer and would like to take to a boat dealership near me (not a tige dealership) would that void out the warranty on the boat ?

As long as you keep the receipts it doesn't void the warrenty. The Magnuson-Moss Warrenty Act prevents mfgrs from requiring that an authorized dealer perform regular maintenance. However you do have to make sure you do all the prescribed maintenance as prescribed and keep records. Harley-Davidson tried this about 9-10 years ago and got shot down. If a mfgr claims that a modification or part you performed contributed to the failure of a part they then must prove it did so. My personal favorite I know of, "the air filter you added made the transmission fail"

Additionally, Tige has closed a couple of dealers recently and it would be unreasonable for them to require that you take it to a dealership if it was not close.

Magnuson-Moss Warrenty Act - I did tons of research on this for my father in-law.

The Lemon Law totally came into play with his Chevy and he ended up getting his money back and bought a new Tundra.

No, but not doing it will

As long as they are a reputable shop, there should not be a problem
