The GPS units do not need a paddlewheel for speed, the five samples/second from the satellites give you your speed. If you do have a paddlewheel, say you upgraded from a paddlewheel version, the GPS based unit will use it to display the water temperature. You will have do your own temperature calibration against your "personal" temperature gauge, however.

The prices I posted above ($1145, or $1125 for 5 or more) were from Ian @ Inboards Only. I assume wakeboard pro would be $100 less per each.

Just got back from the lake. It worked perfectly...no pun intended. Really cool!! Very smooth, adds power in a turn, GPS rocks Worth all 1195 dollars.

OK, I had a great day, but a terrible day on the water yesterday. While there is no substitute for enthusiasm, a good driver helps a ton. My buddy pulled me anywhere from 15 to 24 mph. While everything else wasn't perfect or even that good by any stretch, just a constant speed was all I was really looking for!! I am going to start saving the coin... or maybe just take the leap. and buy it.
