I have a 2005 24v with the Gm Votec. What PPass would be best? What is drive-by-wire vs other? Is this an install I can do myself?

Meth, you have cable throttle not a drive by wire.

Drive by wire is electical signals to the engine vice cable.

Talk to Mark at PP and Randy is out of the office until the Monday. So he assures me that he will talk to him on Monday and call to let me know what he has to say about it!!! They will be ready to ship end of next week! So hopefully will have an answer by Monday or Tuesday! I will let you know~!

ISSUES ADDRESSED:
1. The new system will work with older and newer throttle systems - BOTH D-B-W and Electronic. It is identical to the older PP system, only instead of using a paddle wheel to control the speed, it uses the GPS antennas. - This is coming from PP directly.

2. Group purchase! I count 8- so far on the list - I called and talked to Mark a few minutes ago and he is willing to talk to the owners and see if they are willing to work a deal with us. I aksed him to let me know how many we need in order to get a deal 10-15 whatever. I am willing to chase this down and get it worked out either with PP or another dealer. So....if PP won't work a group discount then I will contact 1 or 2 other dealers, like Onlyinboards or skier to skier. I will keep you posted on what I find out!

Like I said before.... the system isnt any different just the way it reads the speed.

Drive By Wire (Newer boats)- is an electronically controlled engine. There are not cables and throttle linkages.

Non Drive by Wire (Older)- Is what perfect pass is designed around. This has throttle cables, linkages etc.

After talking to everyone is looking for a full system, NOT an Upgrade! If it is an upgrade. we need to know what type of display you have. I am assuming EVERY name on this list is looking for the whole system!
