I just got a reply back from Ian at OnlyInboards. The StarGazer line has a non DBW version for manual engines.

If you already have the digital pro, you can upgrade for < $500 I guess.

I talked to them yesterday. The ETA for the GPS system for Non-DBW is the first week of June. I was told it should cost around the same as the current Wakeboard Pro. I am going to wait 3 weeks before I make a decision.

Yeah, it would be nice to hear some feedback before such a big purchase. What if they SUCK!? I'll be angry. 100$ more for mnot having to drill the boat is totally worth it. ALso, I have to assume the gps speedo will work even when the cruise is not set. Seeing as how I have one speedo not working anyhoo this will be really nice for me. I think a lot of the offshore boats use gps based speedos don't they? Seems like I've read about them in HotBoat or whatever magazine.

From what I read, it uses the digital paddlewheel as well as the GPS reading 4x/sec.

Looks like it will be $1195.00 USD for the Stargazer Wakeboard pro system. I spoke with the owners about the older wakeboard pro systems and if we will offer a deal on them and the answer was dodgy at best. So right now it doesn't look like the price will drop but we will have to see what happens in a few weeks.

I think it's worth waiting a couple of weeks to see. If we could put togeather a group buy, and end up buying 10 or so, we might be able to buy the old ones at $800 or ???

I think we need to have someone handle how many we need and present that to Randy. His email address is randy@perfectpass.com. Any volunteers? You can count me in to buy one!

Stargazer Wakeboard Pro system - Is what I was told by perfect pass to be available for non-dbw setups and no hull drilling - but we should confirm that when you email Randy - I have myslef and a maybe also
