Had my first issue ever

20V ran like a champ, still does

RZ2 has been running great only I had my first issue today. All day the boat was fine then Im back at the dock about to load up... I drop my boy off to get the ride and my RZ2 wont engage in forward or reverse. To make matters worse we were drifting into a shallow rock area.

Long story short somehow my linkage that connects to the transmission somehow broke/came off leaving me stuck. Thank god it didn't happen on my approach to the dock! That would have made a nice auwie!

This must be a rare issue to happen because I didn't see any other threads regarding it.

One more thing. A couple times while starting the motor I get a error stating "no engine data over 25 secs" flashing. The boat runs but I need to restart. Could this be a sign of a problem or just a harmless glitch?

I was going to say last night about something with the transmission when you called. That sucks dude but I am sure Pat at Capital Water Sports will get you up and running in no time. However, in the mean time you have your 20v to use.

Must be nice in times like that, only thing that wouldn't be so nice is the back up payment.

So Lee the ECM needs to be flashed?? I saw a thread before but I didn't read into it that much.

Da I talked to Thomas today and he said the Transmission thing is rare but happens. I will fix it on monday

Sounds like you guys are on it. I am a little surprised that you talked to Thomas..... Didn't think he worked on the weekends but again, the service has been great since Kevin left also.

Kind of like doing a hard reset on your computer. It works to cure most any problem in home computers, probably fixes most boat computer problems too.

Windows update

Basically, a re-flash erases the current software version and loads the new one in with the changes, corrections, additions, etc. A re-flash is much faster then trying to update the software by correcting the individual lines of code.
