Opening Day for the Garcias

On CP3's Razor, the nav lights and speakers pop out at the hinges and was a pain to add another 2 pairs of speaker wires for his 4 Pro60's.

It looks ok if the loom it tucked into the grommets right and know wire is showing.

I can't believe anyone here is buying a new Tige without a Samson Razor Tower. Anything else is an abomination of the boat.

For most dealers, it may not be cost effective to ship the aftermarket tower cross country, and then have to pay your guys to install it. I would love to be able to offer other options like this to potential customers, but just dont know if it would work out.

I told Gary from samson I would be looking for a Tige dealer that uses samson towers on my next boat. He said there was one in Reno, and I also heard from them before that boats of nevada can do their towers. But I didn't get the dealer name, and so I would call samson to be sure.

I know Matt does use them, cause he shipped CP3 here and we installed it. The problem is, the size/weight of the box would make it motor-freight which is pricey compared to the usual carriers.

Ok, the star of the day was the new 2008 Green Loogey from Inland. We had a Yellow Loogey last year, was great, but it pearled all the time, especially when turning into the wake. The new loogey has a better design, and the pearling problem seems to be GONE!

Is there a difference is the '08 Green Loogey and the '07.5 Yellow? The yellow can be had on Ebay now for $259 + $40 shipping - Looks like a good buy!

One of the great things about the samson tower is how it collapses, but also that it collapses on itself. You remove the speakers (15 secs) to reduce the weight, and bring it down. You don't need a pole, or anything, it just collapses on itself, and holds up its own weight collapsed. It doesn't rest on anything in your boat, not the gunwales, or any vinyl or anything, just itself.

I have never taken the speakers off. I have to collapse it to get the boat in the shop, super simple and I can do it by myself in 30sec. The only thing I don't like is that I have to take the cover off to do it. I wish there was a way to lower it without getting in the boat. I wonder when they will design an tower that will lower automatically with motors. Now that would be sick!!

Only diff in 2007.5 should just be color. Same shape and design, its the 2007 with the older design that had the problem with perling.

Thanks ragboy, We just had a taste of surfing a couple weeks ago and the kids rode a Hyperlite board. I've read a lot of good things about the Loogey and think it would be a good all around board.

I bought a new CWB Tsunami , for a good discount, off Ebay in Nov. and about 2 weeks later BBB ran a special on the yellow for almost the same price. I would have chosen the yellow over the CWB any day when the price is that close.
