PCM does not burn oil. INDIMAR burns oil and they tell the Malibu Duds that is normal. My buddies boat burns 2 to three quarts of oil very 50 hours when we change his oil. My TIGE which is a PCM 6.0L and it is way better than the MP has never burned a single quart. I think TIGE is making a good move. Even if it raised the price. GO TIGE. Then you add new ballast system to the boat. Now we are talking. Lets see MC, Malibu, CC or any of the other competitors build a bigger wake stock for the money that TIGE will build.

I can change the impeller on my PCM 6.0L faster than the MP any day or time. In fact twice as fast. It is very easy and simple to get to and change. Yes MP are easy to work on but they are behind in TECHNOLOGY and are opting for the lesser quality options from GM on marine options. Again I think this is a great move for TIGE'.

Where is the oil consumption coming from? They are the same blocks that are built by GM for the individual company.
We are not talking about a change from like Ford to GM, but more like a GM engine that says MP to a GM engine that says PCM!
What's cheap about the MP engine? When my dealer (now employer) signed on with CC (who uses PCM) they had to buy a $h!t load of engine parts to stock. These parts are getting used and reordered. The only stuff they stock, and use, for the Tiges are filters and impellers.
My on the change, MP was not ready to fit there engines with Catalytic Converters for 09.
*NOTE* This is 100% my thoughts and opinions.

So are you saying the PCM is prone to trouble and therefore needs parts... while the MP doesn't have trouble? Or did I misunderstand u?
For some reason I thought the PCM's were based on a Ford motor? Is that Indmar that I'm confusing them with then?
Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.

Ford got out of the marine biz about 7-8 years ago. GM is the only US supplier of gas inboards and I/O's.
Just stating an observation.
