*NOTE* This is 100% my thoughts and opinions.

Suppose that GM could not come up with a catalytic converter that meets California standards. Then Tige has to ship every boat to California with a PCM motor anyway. Hopefully if they just switch to all PCM motors, then the volume will result in a better price, making it worthwhile to switch.

Supposedly that's the plan, and why there shouldn't be a price difference. Key word being ... SUPPOSEDLY!!!!!!!

Hmmm, I also question the use of PCM powerplants in saltwater. I know the PCM is a great engine, but the MP seems better suited to use in the saltwater environment. I will have to see what the PCM looks like in person, but I might be sticking with the '05 22v even longer.

I am with SBFan I have a PCM motor and have had no problems. It is quieter than my friends Bu and MC. The local dealer here used to order pcm motors because they thought they were a more solid motor and they were a cc dealer as well.

I have owned boats with both engines, here is my

Both engines never gave me any problem so far.

PCM takes less gas to run, and it is not as loud.
MC has more power and therefore takes more gas, also MC is louder but again that is not a problem for me since I love the sound of a powerful engine.

Wow, will all the married people on this site I am surprised that there isn't anymore people with "selective hearing".

I don't hear my MC engine nor do I hear the GF when she is on the war path.

I personally like the extra power more than being silence

I guess both engines have it's pros and cons depend on your preference.
