My on the change, MP was not ready to fit there engines with Catalytic Converters for 09.

*NOTE* This is 100% my thoughts and opinions.

Suppose that GM could not come up with a catalytic converter that meets California standards. Then Tige has to ship every boat to California with a PCM motor anyway. Hopefully if they just switch to all PCM motors, then the volume will result in a better price, making it worthwhile to switch.

Supposedly that's the plan, and why there shouldn't be a price difference. Key word being ... SUPPOSEDLY!!!!!!!

Hmmm, I also question the use of PCM powerplants in saltwater. I know the PCM is a great engine, but the MP seems better suited to use in the saltwater environment. I will have to see what the PCM looks like in person, but I might be sticking with the '05 22v even longer.

I am with SBFan I have a PCM motor and have had no problems. It is quieter than my friends Bu and MC. The local dealer here used to order pcm motors because they thought they were a more solid motor and they were a cc dealer as well.

Both engines never gave me any problem so far.

PCM takes less gas to run, and it is not as loud.
MC has more power and therefore takes more gas, also MC is louder but again that is not a problem for me since I love the sound of a powerful engine.

I am with you on that DOGBERT. I do like them quite. That is one thing nice about the PCM it is quieter than the MP.

Whats the HP for the MC? My PCM is rated at 390 hp for the 6.0l ZR6
