I have the 07 and the Bimini is a disaster. I had mine replaced by the dealer because of bent poles. I will be putting an after market on mine soon.
Who are you buying the new bimini from?

Problem solved. Patrick from CWS got the Bimini squared away. He drilled a hole and monkeyed it around and fixed it up. Thank god for the dealer as they saved me $700. The bimini is bigger than a queen sized bed and has more parts than a box of matches.

I have an 07 20v, and my bimini is horrible as well, although oddly enough I don't have the screws mentioned here. Mine is only a pin system. The challenge I have is that it is near impossible (even with multiple people assiting) to take it off without scratching the tower.

My only solution is to leave it up, I'm lucky I keep my boat in a boathouse. I don't have to stow/remove for trailering that often.

I will say that if you're going to get a aftermarket bimini it's *absolutely* worth going to a custom canvas type shop and having one made over ordering from a catalog. I've done a couple of these on previous boats and it's worth the $100-200 uplift. They can make it taller if you're tall, they can make it longer if you want more shade, they can add zip-in glass if you want rain protection, etc. But most importantly they should install it on your boat, and ensure it works properly.

If anyone's in Orlando A&B Custom Canvas is great - http://www.boatcanvas.us/ They just put a 7' bimini on my flats boat that I love, tempted to have them redo the 20v top, but it's not critical for me at this point.
