When was that??? The last prop I bought from them cost me $460 + tax.... That would definitely be the best way to go...

I am in Highlands Ranch (C-470 & Lucent) and have a 3 blade puller
you can have. I also have a 4 blade puller you can borrow.

Let me know you if need it. Send me a pm if you want it.

That prop is 100% repairable. Mine was worse than that. The guy that repaired my prop is one of the FIVE in the country that has made the investment in the equipment from ACME to repair ACME props correctly. He guarantees his repairs with a new prop if they vibrate afterward. You have to be prepared though he tells you if he can fix it or not once he gets it in his hands. I am certain that is fixable. I have seen way worse than that repaired.

And I think 1 of those five are here in Rancho Cordova, CA.

I had a small ding and the guy charge me $160 and put it back to ACME specs. However, I think your guy is cheaper SPBFan.

All you need is the 4999 ACME prop saver kit with the C-Clamp style puller and you can get any ACME prop of a boat except for the Yacht's they are a little larger. But for what we do the 4999 will work perfect on 3 or 4 blades.

How do you find out if the shop has made the investment in ACME equipment?

The place he is going to take his to is pretty good, not sure if they are "certified" or not but I am pretty sure they can do the repair.

ctmccahill - I would like to thank you and your mom for the offer to borrow your prop puller. I ended up borrowing one from airjorgy, he lives much closer to me (A big thanks goes to airjorgy too!!). His should work much better then the mastercraft one I borrowed (actually rented) from someone in Parker last night. It's much thinner and should fit better between the blades.

Airjorgy's is really nice, it looks much nicer then the ACME ones, his is made by OJ, and comes with a really nice wrench. I will probably end up buying a OJ kit, instead of the ACME kit.

                      --------

                      Update on prop:

I talked to ACME this morning, and they are reccomending a 911, it's a 13 x 10.5. I am a little concerned about the RPM's running too high, but it sounds like it may be a good one to go with. Hopfully I can get my current one fixed and use it for a spare, if not, I will probably buy a used OJ 13x12 to use as a spare. Jim's has a couple of them in stock. I just can't spend $400 for a spare at the same time I spend $400 on a new one.

I also thought about going through sbpfan, and still might do it. It all depends on what happens when I bring my prop into the shop for them to look at and see if it's fixable.

You can also send it back to ACME and have them fix it.
I sent mine to them last year since the closest shop to me was alsmost an hour away.
