His face is priceless. Looks like he is say "Oh Chit!!!!!!!!!!!". Like you would say when you are going down for a hard crash.

The angle that he appears to be at is of concern. I have not been on one of the air chairs ... looks fun but the learning curve looks to be hard. Maybe not??

They are a blast It takes a while to learn how to fly and longer to do tricks but as you master new skills it is great. The beayty of hydrofoiling is you don't need calm water. When it is too rough to ski or board pop out the air chairs and fly above all the rough water.

The only negative about air chairs is the startup cost is high. A used air chair is usually over $700 and new basic ones go for $1500 now and the deluxe models are just out of site.

We have a basic chair and an advanced one and to this day I cannot ride the advanced one to save my soul. Every time I try to fly I land up in either a back flip or a faceplant.

I have checked prices on them. Wow. Yes start up is very pricy.

            Looks fun...

                Cool shot.....great height!

That dude is in total control.....notice the line.......it is tight through the
trick....meaning he knows where he's at. Same as in wakeboarding, line
tension = good thing. He has just spotted the water for his landing (probably setting up to combo out of the trick and into another).

Face expressions are funny on people foiling. There is always a certain
type of "oh chit" look on peoples faces.

Cost of foils are kind of stupid but when you understand then engineering
and material and machining costs of of the high end stuff, you can at least rationalize the cost.

I take allot of people out who do not even own a foil just for them to
get the feel of it and see if they like it. Most of the foilers here in Colorado are happy to take people out for lessons or coaching or just to introduce
                them to the sport.

I always suggest people buy an entry level foil at first (unless you know you
love it and you want to advance quickly). You can do every trick on an entry level ski that you can do on a high end model.

The high end models make learning tricks much more easy. You can ride
at slower speeds (reducing risk of injury) and go much higher in the air
(higher = more time to land/complete trick) because the wings and T-bar
are larger. I like to use a golf analogy (larger club heads = more forgiveness) same holds true in foiling.

I wasn't there but I would say with 99% certainty he
                        landed that.
