Sell it and buy a Chevy Cavalier for about $1200. 6k+ will buy a lot of boat gas.

I have a better idea, teach your mom to surf and then she won't want to get rid of the boat.

psh... Like that will ever... and when a girl asks me what I drive and I say Chevy cavalier, that will knock me down a few points vs. Saying I drive a Mercedes.

Dude, that wont matter! Once you get the girl out on the boat and show her what a good day on the lake is like, the car you drive won't matter. If the girl is going to judge you by the car you pick her up in, then drive on down the block, she isn't worth it!

I don't want to go to work, take me wake surfing instead!

Nice looking lake and boat. I took mine out for the first time on Sunday. I'm very sore now. Need to get the waterski/wakeboard muscles back in shape.

I hear ya on the sore, Costigan, my back is a little sore from my boarding on Sunday. It will be worse when I ski and foot for the first time. How's the water out there in WA?

nah, even the young ones b$tch after the first time out. My sore back is probably more related to our taking the canopy off the lift so we can remanufacture the poles that hold it up. we need them a little taller to get the tower under it

You are completely able to work. Get a summer job and pay the boat payment. PROVE to her you want to keep it--telling her means nothing. I had 3 jobs @ 15 yrs old working 70 hrs a week so that I could buy a new car. (btw; that 1993 Eclipse pulled more tail.. ..) Making 100$ per week to make the payment through the summer should be very, very easy for you to do. Yeah--it will take away some of your "play time." Welcome to the real word. I'm willing to bet that if you made a serious effort to prove that you are willing to help and that the boat really means a lot to you that your folks would change thier minds or find an acceptable alternative (like going 1/2 w/ another family).
If you're unwilling to work for it I have no sympathy for you. If you're willing to work and your parents still say no.....man, you got some mean parents--get new ones
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

You do that and they'll probably vote to exercise the last line--"get new parents"
