MB Sports just introduced a similar system to the Calabria, I'm guessing this would be the same thing Tige would do.

New Tige Ballast system?

Calabria has actually been using this system for years and it's quite nice. Got a chance to ride in one a few years back and you would not believe how fast it fills, you can actually feel the boat sinking as it does. The standard ballast is 700lbs while the Team V has 1000lbs. They have four integrated hull tanks that can distribute the water evenly and it keeps the boat on level, really cool system."Call me anything you want ... Just don't call me NOBODY!

Maybe they are buying Calabria or at least the rights to use the system?
If so, I think that would be great as it would take Tige to the next level of performance wake boats, and knock the socks off the haters on WW.. LOL
which they need to do because I am tired of reading the BS on that site.
We all know that Tige monitors this forum so if they are listening, and I hope they are here is my wish list for the perfect ballast set up.
1) Has to be computer controlled like the new BU boats, have a user selectable memory, but take it a step further then BU's 3 memory spots.
Have 10 regular memory spots plus- 5 guest memory spots.
That way you want tweak your particular set up every time you ride or surf.
and you can start exactly where you left off last time.
The auto system can work with both the speed set/ taps and the new Ballast system.
example:
User (1) surf Mem #1 11.5 MPH, Taps 5 SB Ballast full.
User (2) Board #2 21.5 MPH, Taps 3 PT- Full/full SB Full/full
** Full/Full would mean all tanks on that side of the boat are full assuming 4 tanks.
and so on and so on.
Brain storming further, maybe Tige could offer 5 or 6 tanks total for total control
I really would like to see a total weight of around 2000- 3000 lbs total, the idea is to get away from sacs and pumps so if they are going to do it, do it right the 1st time!
just my wish list, again I hope Tige is listening.Tige owner since 2006

Tall tige you made my point, with 2K of ballast most Noobs cant hit it but its a learning process. All of us that would hit it were like HOLY CHIT
Ks you have a great idea there. I know tige monitors this site but maybe we could all send them a letter or something. If tige added over 1K of ballast, I think many more people would take them as a serious wakeboarding boat. The idea of the auto ballast is an awesome idea. I think I would rather have something like that, than something that can fill in less than 30 seconds. Lets face it, Most of use have atleast a 5 minute ride to our cove or a decent area to ride. this makes the 30 second fill useless IMHO.
I see one major problem tho.
One thing that I think almost all of us love about our tiges is the storage space. With the Lifeplus core, it is impossible to put any ballast below the floor in our CURRENT tiges. So in order to get the weight we want in the boat we are going to have to give up a good amount of storage.
IMO tige is going to need to rethink and play with the lifeplus core, so that tanks can be placed below the floor while still maintaining a nice rough water ride. This will be a very hard thing to figure out.
I cant wait to see tige come out with a bigger ballast system thoEverything happens for a reason
I live my post whore life 30 seconds at a time
