Adding Batteries?

Going to pick up my Z1 tomorrow from the stereo shop. Just wondering, with the kicker 700.5 amp 6 coax speakers new 12" sub, 3 some and a audison hi power amp if adding a battery is worth it and what kind? I know that it is but what kind is the more important question. Oh yeah I only have 1 stock battery.
Might need to add 1 at the 20 hour service, obviously

Adding a 2nd battery is an easy DIY project. Search though the "How To" topics, I did a write-up about adding a battery, as well as use the "Search" button, there was a couple threads running for 1labtrainer and Micah.

If you plan to spend time playing tunes on the beach/sandbar with engine off, an isolated "House" battery is highly recommended.

I'm a fan of good old wet-cel lead acid marine deep cycle batteries. Cant beat the price V's performance from them IMO.

Hows that W/S-12 sound on the 700.5? I was worried about the 420W RMS being a little light for it since it's rated for 500W RMS with a max of 1K. I would love to see a pic of the box ( unless I missed it in another thread )

I set mine up with a Perko and have the starting Battery go to Perko 1, the starter, the Alternator and boat house wiring with exception to the Amplifiers. I have the Amplifiers wired to my second battery whch goes to battery two on the perko. To charge the second battery I change the Perko Switch to All and both the starting Battery on Perko 1 and the Amplifier Battery on Perko 2 will get charged. I will be adding a Blue Sea ACR for charging only purposes as an add on project later.
