I don't recommend going with rollers. They are actually worse for your boat as they mark it up pretty bad and the boat puts all of it's weight on a few small points instead of long bunks. Plus working at a marina, I can tell you that loading a boat on rollers sucks compared to bunks.Tige Throws Mad Wake.

Yah ok I think I have it figured out we do have an excess of sand in our bunks. They are on the side/bottom of the front v in the hull were there actually is not bottom only 2 sides that come to a point think thats what is causing the confusion. We do beach our boat but not offen enough to make much of a difference I would like to say maybe once out of 10 times out. My dad hit the bunks the other day with his hand and sand puffed out. But idk if it could be an angry fisherman putting sand in the bunks lol just good old FL sand blowing on top of the bunks. Going to replace the bunk carpet fix the gel coat and take it as a lesson learned to replace the bunk carpet more offen.

We never really beach our boat maybe 3-4 times in last year, usually pull in at a dock. I will put boat in water wed. and replace carpet. What is amazing is that this happened over the course of 30-45 days. We wipe our boat down every time we use it. (it is usually dark when we come in so it is by the light at the dock) but still never really noticed them. I went to West Marine and they sell what is called "Liquid Roller" I am told it is really slippery. Will let you guys know if that is true. Anyone have idea of $$ to fix. I will take a couple of pictures from farther away so you can see it better it is right at the height where the boat contacts the front bunks when loading boat. Just personal opinion but Dosey trailers suck--- 2 years old in April and trailer rusting from inside out though weld joints and my boat has never been left out side it has been stored in garage since day one so the only time trailer was in water is loading and unloading. My dealer is now selling Tige with differant brand trailer. Oh well maybe next boat. thanks for you suggestions.

I am in the Tampa area and only go in saltwater with a dark blue hull, I also beach almost every weekend, for 2 years now, and it looks no where near that bad. I've also never replaced my carpet. That still looks like an exorbitant amount of scratching from just bunks in that short of a time.

The plot thickens I took my boat down to dealer to fix gel coat scratches asked if they would off load onto another trailer, so I could replace carpet no problem when they took boat off trailer under every bunk little bubbles(if you took a marker and out lined the bunks then took boat off trailer that is exactly where they are at) probably 100-150 about the size of a dime. Dealer calls yesterday said they email photos to Tige but not sure if they will cover gel coat man says $2800 to fix. It just keeps going and going--- stripped carpet went to six carpet stores and they all said the carpet on the bunks is not marine looks like interior car carpet oh I am not done yet emailed Dorsey because there was alot of rust around the edge of fenders and they said sorry it was out of warrenty(boat is two years old in end of march) but take it to local reoair shop and get estimate they may help in repair three repair shops later no one will touch it. Sure is hard to type with beer in other hand. Any one have any ideas???? My son rides behind a Malibu a couple times a month they sure are starting to like like my new boat.

You can fix that gel coat yourself for less than 150$!!! Order your gelcoat to match perfectly http://www.spectrumcolor.com/catalog.htm
If you can use sand paper you can fix gel coat. Shoot, bring your boat to me and we can fix it in 1 day. You buy the beer.
Gel coat is sooooo easy. It's just a little intimidating to start, but once you do it you'll never pay someone again!Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?
