    First ride in a Z1

FINALLY got a Z1 in the water this afternoon All I can say is way to go tige!!!!

I only took a short trip up the river and back, but I'm damn impressed with it so far. The surf wake on this boat looks to have so much potential. With no ballast, the Z1 put out a nice, surfable wake. Filling the port/aft tank only(about 300-350 lbs) was a great improvement, and filling the bow sac really lengthened the pocket.

No pics tonight, so dont even ask you smart@$$e$ you know who you are I'll have some tomorrow night or Sat. We plan on taking it out tomorrow afternoon and run it through it's paces. I'll probably take a 400# sac to throw on top of the stock, just to see

I still want to see this wake with 2000 pounds of ballast at 22-23mph.

No you don't, it will just cause all kinds of controversy for the X-Star guys when a $40k boat throws a better wake

Although we only took a quick trip out and back, I found it to be quick, responsive, nimble, tight, etc.

There was a slight difference in the 1 less foot and 2 less" beam, but not at a detriment to the boat/brand. If you need/want the extra space, or boat on a real choppy lake, go with the 22'r, if not, you cant go wrong wit a Z1

Made it out today, in between thunderstorms

First 2 pics are of the wakeboard wake with factory ballast filled. Tige's info says it's 600#'s, but we think it's closer to 900# based on the dimensions of the tanks.

This one is the unweighted surf wake. 10.8mph and TAPS on 6

Next is with the port aft and bow sac filled and one of my 400#'rs in the back. 11.3mph and TAPS on 4

Are you just getting a complimentary ride by your dealer or are you considering moving into a Z? And that would be the reason that you get to joyride in a new Z

Oh yeah it is past Saturday, lets see some pics.
I don't want to go to work, take me wake surfing instead!
