Well, good luck on your endeavors with the Bu. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and taking it out for a test ride.

Wake shaping on a rough lake isn't fair to any model of boat. It's going to be crappy from the get go.

That's interesting on the bow rise. Never had an issue w/ bow rise with the taps at 1, even with a ton of weight in back and none up front. BUTTTTTT I've never been in a Z1 either. So can't comment.

Good luck w/ your BU, I'm sure you'll be happy.

One question to the tower though.... did the Tige tower have tower speakers and the moomba not? The only reason I ask, is b/c the moomba/supra towers I've seen seem to be one of the worst I've ever seen with weight on them. Even the guys on wakeworld have commented as to the such. So your comment seemed funny, and thought I'd ask.
Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.

Both had tower speakers. Just givin it the wiggle test on land, I could see a difference.

As for bow rise, it was there, I have driven all 3 boats twice now, and that was a huge issue for my wife in any boat we buy. We did test in the river, and it was smoother by far, and still had the rise in it. Maybe taps plate needed adjustment with a spacer as dealer indicated?

I am not sure he really ever wanted a Tige in the first place. It was smart to ask the owners of the various boat brands what their thoughts were but what are they going to say, my boat sucks buy boat brand XXXXX. Plus, you get to play the dealers off each other especially if there is more than one dealer within driving distance or sells multiple brands. But given his tone, it seems as though was set on Malibu even before the test drive.

Wow Band, I thought they were going to bash the crap out of Tige. For the most part they has some good information.

                Jeffe,

It was hard. I actually had to drive one way 90 minutes to each dealer...so I was serious about finding the right boat for ME.

I wish the Tige had the properties I was looking for, its a GREAT boat. Put together really nice and a hell of a value....Looks sweet also.

I liked everything about the boat, and the dealership. Problem is the wake wasnt right, and the bow rise is more due to the hull design I think. Now its def splitting hairs, but its all I got to go on.

You are putting $'s into a boat and you are the customer. Looking out for your best interest is #1 and the Tige didn't meet your needs. IMO, I would have done the same thing that you did when I first started looking for a boat. In other words, it is your money and you need to spend it wisely.

Good information and thanks for sharing! Good luck with your new Bu! I hope you and your family have a great summer!

FWIW, I have heard that the Z1 doesn't handle like a "Tigé" but still handles excellent.

Yea, I agree. It seemed that there was more respect from the Mooba board. I think there is more competition between Tige and Malibu so it gets a little heated from all sides. 2thdoc01 did a great job of researching the various brands and obviously put a lot of time into the decision. Thus, he should get exactly what he wants.

I love my Tige and feel I got a good deal. At the same time, I wish I would have done more investigation. I am never going to be an all-star wakeboarder or skier, so as long as the boat works well I should be happy. Anything more is really to show off or add bling.

Where are you at in WI? Did you go to Reed's Marine?
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

My sentiments exactly, hence the reason i bought the LSV. Fantastic price, good boat, fit's my needs and with the economy, jobs and gas being what they are i didn't want to fork out a bundle.

                                Yes,

The 22ve, I liked is another 10k. Out of my range. Im liking the guys at Shipyard, and its more convenient for me going north.
